Blueberry Acai Almond Butter Smoothie
Contrary to popular belief, yoga is not “just a good stretch!" In fact, I leave most yoga classes sweaty and having put in major work, and I even wake up sore the next morning!
Yoga is an amazing full body AND mind workout that requires strength, focus, stamina, and balance; and in order for our bodies to be able to continue to keep putting in work on the mat we must make sure we are re-fueling properly!
This is one of my favorite post-yoga smoothies to make; it tastes amazing, and has so many awesome health benefits! Packed with protein, BCAA’s, antioxidants, magnesium, calcium, iron, healthy omega-3 fatty acids, and fiber!
You can immediately enjoy this smoothie right after making it, or put it in a jar in the fridge for later or even take it along with you to your class to enjoy right after!
What you’ll need to put in your blender:
-1 scoop of your favorite vegan protein powder (either vanilla or unflavored!) I love Vega Sport because it’s gluten free, low in sugar, and each scoop has 30g of vegan protein!
-1 packet of unsweetened acai
-1/4 cup frozen blueberries
-1-2 TBSP. almond butter
-1 TBSP. flax oil
-1-2 TBSP. chia seeds
-1 frozen banana
-1 tsp. maca powder
-Coconut water (add until you reach your desired consistency!)
-Sprinkle of cinnamon
Blend all ingredients on high for about 1 minute (all blenders may vary) and enjoy!
