HOW TO WILD THING ✨ It’s a little confusing upside down so let’s simplify #wildthing and make it really easy to follow. . Step 1: Open hips in three-legged dog. Step 2: Touch ball of the foot down with bent knee, and heel off the ground. Step 3: Turn bottom foot in slightly to allow hips to open and lift. Step 4: As the hips lift, start lifting and rotating the chest toward the sky, opening the heart. FOLLOW @melisfit_ FOR YIGA TIPS 👉🏼👉🏼👉🏼 Do your hip flexors feel tight or cause you discomfort?! 😐 Swipe left for a full video of simple exercises to help ease tight hips & hip flexors and stretch out such a hard to reach area that holds so much tension!! ➡️➡️➡️ Your hip flexors are a group of muscles on top of your thigh that connect your upper leg to your hip. We use these muscles for almost every movement involving your lower body and on top of sitting most of the day - these muscles may ALWAYS feel tight!! 😩 Here are my top 6️⃣ hip flexor stretches (they feel so good!!): 1️⃣ Standing Quad Stretch 2️⃣ Hip Circles 3️⃣ Low Lunge 4️⃣ Pigeon Pose 5️⃣ Butterfly Stretch 6️⃣ Happy Baby 👉🏼👉🏼 I hope you will try out these stretches/yoga poses and let me know which pose below feels the best for stretching out your hip flexors!! ✨If you want a Straight Handstand...✨ 🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️ . . . Find your body integration (wrist, shoulders, core, leg strength) and alignment (open shoulders, flat back, etc) for getting a straight handstand with these drills - . . * Tuck up drill: start with knees right next to Handstands. Shoulders over wrists, sent hips up with toes untucked (keep most of the pressure in your fingertips & knuckles!) x10 reps for 3 sets 😘. . * Upside down handstand: find your line without standing on your hands! Squeeze legs and glutes, knit ribs in, open and extend through shoulders - and breathe! This is way harder than it looks, but allows you to find your line without any weight on your hands. . * Plank: shoulders over wrists, squeeze ankles and knees together as you do (for wrist and shoulder strength). . * Down dog with open shoulders: not too open though! Find the 180degree line and stay there, knitting ribs in and extending through shoulders. This is your handstand line from your wrists to hips. . * 3 legged dog: opens up hamstrings needed to kick up, tuck up, or straddle up into handstand. Try to keep hips and shoulders squared as you lift one leg straight up as high as you can! . * Tuck handstand: find the balance with this shape first and work on compression. . * Stag handstand: stag one knee to the chest and send the other leg up to the sky ✨ This is also easier to balance, but one side of your body is already in a straight handstand line! . . . .
